Front Desk Receptionist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our clinic. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring the smooth operation of daily administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, managing records, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction:
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly as they arrive at the clinic.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and assist with inquiries.
  • Respond to patient questions regarding appointments, services, and procedures.
  • Appointment Scheduling:
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments efficiently.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to manage their calendars.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including updating personal and insurance information.
  • Verify patient eligibility and handle billing inquiries.
  • Process payments and issue receipts.
  • Operational Duties:
  • Ensure the front desk area is organized and presentable.
  • Monitor and replenish office supplies as needed.
  • Support the clinic staff with administrative tasks as requested.
  • Compliance:
  • Adhere to clinic policies and HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); additional training or certification in office administration or medical reception is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
