Job Overview
Metrocast Cable Systems, a leading telecommunications provider of digital television, high-speed internet, and digital phone services in the northeastern United States, is seeking a professional and welcoming Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in Quincy, Massachusetts. As the first point of contact for our company, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and lasting impression on our clients, visitors, and partners. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and organised individual with outstanding communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office, directing them to the appropriate person and office.
* Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
* Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials.
* Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
* Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone or email.
* Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
* Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
* Schedule appointments and manage meeting room calendars to ensure efficient use of resources.
Qualifications
* Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or a similar role.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Solid written and verbal communication skills with a professional and friendly telephone manner.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and multitask effectively.
* A resourceful and proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Superb customer service attitude and a professional appearance.
* A high school diploma is required; further certification in Office Management is a plus.
