We are seeking a reliable, organized, and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist to join our behavioral health team. This role is the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors—requiring professionalism, empathy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate thrives on multitasking, demonstrates strong communication skills, and provides exceptional customer service while supporting the clinical and administrative operations of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check in clients, visitors, and staff in a welcoming and professional manner
- Answer, screen, and route calls promptly; respond to inquiries with discretion and sensitivity
- Verify insurance verification and COB ( coordination of benefits)
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations
- Prepare and manage intake paperwork, consent forms, and documentation accurately
- Coordinate communication between clinicians, clients, and administrative staff
- Maintain an organized and calm reception area, even during high-volume periods
- Support billing and data entry tasks as needed
- Assist with special projects and perform other administrative duties assigned by management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of front desk, medical office, or behavioral health experience preferred
- Strong computer and data entry skills (EHR experience highly desirable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment
- Compassionate and patient demeanor, with strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of insurance verification is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish- required)
