Front Desk Receptionist - Courier

Job Overview
Doctors' Anatomic Pathology Services, P. A. is seeking a receptionist/courier for full-time employment. This position will work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. They will perform general receptionist/telephone operator duties and perform local courier duties. The incumbent will serve as a general receptionist, receiving and routing incoming telephone calls on a multi-line internal telephone exchange and taking/dispatching messages. They will drive their own vehicle and/or walk to perform a variety of local courier duties. Will also perform various support duties such as: filling supply orders, receiving/sorting mail, typing, faxing, photocopying, filing, packaging, mailing, message taking, data entry or inquiry, and other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications include the ability to: speak articulately, operate a multi-line telephone system, and drive a vehicle to perform a variety of local courier duties requiring moving/lifting of light objects (10-15 pounds). Should possess general office skills, including the ability to type accurately, and must be able to document and dispatch messages skillfully. Familiarity with computer systems, medical terminology, and local medical community logistics is desirable. Previous related experience helpful. A clean driving record is a must. This is a combination indoor/outdoor position that requires adequate mobility, flexibility, dexterity, and the ability to move lightweight objects. Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and clients via telephone warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the organization
  • Manage multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls to appropriate departments or personnel
  • Coordinate courier and delivery services, including pickups and drop-offs, with accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain organized filing systems, data entry records, and office supplies inventory
  • Support office management tasks such as calendar management, photocopying, faxing, and courier log systems
  • Perform clerical duties, including proofreading documents, managing correspondence, and maintaining accurate records
  • Filling supply orders, receiving/sorting mail, typing, filing, packaging, mailing, message taking, data entry or inquiry, and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proven experience in front desk or office administration roles with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in computer literacy
  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and data entry processes
  • Strong attention to detail with proofreading and clerical skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Personal assistant experience or calendar management skills are advantageous
  • Previous customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and patience

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
