Front Desk Receptionist - Customer Service Representative

Full Time Position, No Part Time Applicants (Under 30 hrs/week)

Shifts usually run from 6:45am to 1pm and 1pm to 7:15pm.

$16-$19 salary commiserate with past Reception/CSR/Admin experience.

Healthy Hound Playground is an upscale dog daycare, boarding kennel and grooming salon located in Fairfax, VA. We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to add to our team who loves dogs, has excellent phone etiquette, is able to compose professional emails, and is able to make customers feel welcome at our facility.

Candidate must have the following:

• Must be available to work one weekend day and holidays
• Consistently reliable to show up to shifts on time, and not call out
• Must be able to compose professional emails
• Excellent customer facing skills with an outgoing and friendly demeanor
• Excellent and upbeat phone etiquette
• Adept at learning POS software
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to memorize and follow processes
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a fast paced environment
• Assiduous attention to detail

This position is can be fast paced during morning drop-offs and evening pick-ups and requires great attention to detail as there are a lot of moving parts.

Extensive communication and coordination among your peers is necessary, as we are open 7 days a week. A working phone, voicemail and general responsiveness is required.

The position requires reliability as we are a retail establishment and you will be responsible for both opening and closing the facility.

The training period is 4 weeks and is paid.

Responsibilities of Customer Service Associate:

• Providing excellent customer service
• Welcome all customers promptly with an outgoing and friendly demeanor
• Doggy check in & check out
• Working with a POS kennel software
• Answering phones
• Responding to customer emails in a grammatically correct and professional manner
• Learning and following policies and procedures
• Ensuring all daycare, boarding and grooming reservations are accurately entered and approved in our system & ensuring all new dogs are properly signed up
• Monitoring and obtaining vaccination records from customers and vets
• Giving helpful tours of the facility
• Selling daycare, boarding and grooming packages
• Answering phones, including customer calls & educating them on our processes and services we offer
• Reception area cleaning
