Front Desk Receptionist/Cigar Sales

Invictus II Cigars is hiring Front Desk Receptionists to serve as Hosts and Hostesses to greet customers as they enter, assist with cigar selections and purchases, recommend pairings, share information about specials, encourage cigar locker memberships, and provide basic information about upcoming events and how to book events. They will also engage with the customers to ensure that best customer service experience is being provided.

To succeed, the individual should have a neat appearance, an engaging and friendly personality, and must be prompt and reliable. The individual should be comfortable standing for long periods of time, assisting customers, and working with other team members to ensure that the Lounge is well-maintained throughout all hours of operation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers as they enter the lounge and assist with cigar/hookah selections.
• Provide customers with hookah menus upon request.
• Share information about special offers (pairings, happy hour deals, etc.), and answer any questions the customers may have.
• Engage with customers in a positive, friendly, and energetic way to ensure they are happy with their cigar and/or hookah selection(s) and drinks.
• Respond to customer concerns and assist with resolution.
• Answer business phone.
• Take detailed notes from customers inquiring about reservations for events to ensure that the manager and owners have all necessary information when following-up with the customer.
• Stay abreast of changes, daily specials, and upcoming events.
• The desire to take a genuine interest in learning about cigars is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Demonstrate a consistent commitment to providing great customer service.
• Complete opening and closing duties (depending on scheduled shift) by following a detailed checklist.
• Count inventory on a weekly basis to ensure that the owners are aware of any supply shortages.
• Keep the lounge area presentable by emptying ashtrays, spot sweeping, wiping tables, wiping chairs, and spot cleaning the bathrooms throughout the scheduled shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age prior to date of hire.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hospitality industry experience or training a plus.
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to provide extraordinary customer service while unsupervised.
• Extremely reliable as it relates to working scheduled shift(s) and arriving on time.
• Willingness to work additional shifts if coverage is needed.
• Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
• Must possess basic math and computer skills.
• Willing to handle money and credit cards while processing transactions accurately in a POS system.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong task and time management abilities.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
• Beverage industry certifications (i.e. TIPS ,TAMS, or Serve Safe Alcohol) is a plus.
