Front Desk Receptionist/Coordinator

Position Overview

The Front Desk Receptionist position at Technix Academy serves as the primary point of contact for parents and staff. This role supports the smooth operation of educational programs by managing lesson scheduling, customer interactions, and essential front-desk administrative tasks. The position requires Saturday shifts plus any four of the five weekdays. Preferred hours are early afternoon to mid-evening on weekdays and morning to late afternoon on Saturdays (these are negotiable based on candidate availability). Paid training is provided, with opportunities for professional growth within the company.

Services include flexible in-person or online lessons, personalized assignments, and interactive activities such as robotics competitions and software projects.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule lessons for students (children) with customers (parents) at the company's location, ensuring efficient allocation of time slots and resources.
  • Provide customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining positive relationships with parents and students.
  • Handle sales activities, including promoting programs and processing enrollments.
  • Manage billing processes, including invoicing, payments, and financial record keeping.
  • Facilitate communications between staff, students, and parents through emails, phone calls, and other channels.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and administrative documentation.
  • Plan and coordinate events to enhance community engagement and program visibility.
  • Support marketing efforts and updating social media.
  • Organize office spaces and supplies to ensure an efficient work environment.
  • Uphold company policies in interactions with customers, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Perform other various tasks associated with front desk reception and administrative duties as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, education, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Cannot be currently attending college/university unless an absolute assurance can be made that classes will not occur during working hours.
  • Prior experience in customer service or front desk roles, ideally in an educational or child-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with parents, children, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules effectively.
  • Proficiency in basic office software, including Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite and basic communication systems.
  • Experience with scheduling or calendar management tools is strongly preferred.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with sales aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional, welcoming demeanor in a dynamic educational setting.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
