Front Desk Receptionist/Office Manager

OVERVIEW
Performance Health in West Chester, OH is seeking a full-time Front Desk Receptionist
(Patient Service Specialist (PSS)) for our growing outpatient chiropractic clinic. Previous healthcare office experience is recommended but not required. Experience with insurance verification and billing is a BONUS

POSITION SUMMARY
The Front Desk Receptionist is an integral part of the patient experience and a key contributor to delivering high quality customer service to our patients and visitors that is caring, friendly, and consistent. This highly visible position requires exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organization skills to provide superior administrative support in the clinic setting to patients and the doctor to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word, outlook, power point) and Gmail.
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Must be able to multitask while providing excellent customer service to our patients.
  • Strong organization skills and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Enthusiastic, must enjoy working independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience in a healthcare related field (specifically patient access, insurance eligibility verification/authorization, billing/electronic claims submission, collection of accounts receivable).
  • Prior experience with electronic medical records.
  • Basic knowledge of billing, coding, and medical terminology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and assist patients in person and via the telephone
  • Answering telephones and additional administrative functions
  • Patient registration
  • Schedule patient appointments maximizing provider’s schedule
  • Third party insurance verification
  • Answering telephones and additional administrative functions
  • Obtaining referrals and authorizations
  • Establish and maintain patient call list and appointment logs
  • Utilize various scripting for patient communication
  • General facility upkeep

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a growing chiropractic and acupuncture practice. Compensation includes hourly wages ($17-$22 based on experience) plus bonus based on performance. Position requires 30-40 hours per week.
