Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Coordinator

Front Desk Receptionist

Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in the system
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
- Verify insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing
- Collect payments from patients and provide receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Assist with various administrative tasks as needed

Skills:
- Experience in medical administrative support or as a dental receptionist is preferred
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient service
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Experience with Epic or other electronic medical record (EMR) systems is beneficial
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, such as dealing with upset or impatient patients in the emergency room
