Front Desk Representative

IVP at The Beach House is a branch of IVP, LLC (Intermediate Volleyball Programs of Colorado). IVP hosts sand volleyball leagues and outdoor tournaments along the Front Range - Denver, Ft. Collins, Colorado Springs. Our organization is composed of volleyball players and enthusiasts that have years of experience on both competitive and professional levels of volleyball play and training. We have organized leagues and tournaments where beginners will build a solid foundation of skill and fun but also for advanced players looking to sharpen their skills and tournament competition. We look forward to meeting great people and spreading the love of volleyball!

The first and last contact a customer has is with the front desk. That makes the Front Desk Representative an incredibly important role in customer satisfaction. When customers are prepped by a happy-go-lucky a Front Desk Representative, they are mentally prepared for a happy-go-lucky experience. If a customer is properly prepared and informed about the rules of our facility, they are less likely to break them and, if they do break them, are less likely to be upset with the repercussions. As a direct result of the interaction, they’ve had with the Front Desk Representative, customers will decide to spend or more or less money on food/beverage, leave good or bad reviews, or tip you and your fellow colleagues or not. Therefore, the Front Desk Representative must always display an up-beat, pleasant personality, be eloquent and clear, and treat everyone equally.

The person who will succeed in this position needs to be detailed oriented and an extremely quick learner. You will be put in chaotic situations and expected to manage them in an organized way. You must be aware of your surroundings at all times. You will need to know who is coming and going, when they came in and know exactly what you spoke to them about. There are no scripts here! Within 2-3 weeks of employment the Front Desk Representative is expected to know the ins and outs of our facility, from volleyball to age restrictions to private parties to food/beverage specials and everything in between.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep the front desk and lounge area clean, tidy and supplied.
  • Assist in end-of-the-night cleaning which may include taking out the trash, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and wiping down tables.
  • Greet, check-in and communicate with customers.
  • Answer customer questions and address their complaints
  • Answer all incoming calls, redirect them when needed
  • Receive letters, packages and send them to appropriate destination
  • Book parties and events.
  • Design, post and track social media campaigns.
  • Make supply orders when needed
  • Monitor and update records and files
  • Monitor and log expenses and costs, and inventory
  • Provide solutions and improvement ideas based on customer feedback.
  • Assist kitchen and bar staff when required.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as Front Desk Representative or similar role
  • Excellent memorization skills, including remembering faces and names.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • The ability to design signs, images, pdfs, posters, etc.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer-oriented mindset

· Highschool diploma is required. Individuals with a college degree, or currently seeking higher education in hospitality, marketing or business development areas are preferred.

$16/hr plus tips

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
