Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Answering Phones Promptly & Professionally
- Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments
- Handling emergency calls appropriately
- Appointment Scheduling & Calendar Management
- Using dental software (e.g., Dentrix Ascend)
- Coordinating with hygienists and dentists’ schedules
- Managing recall appointments and overdue patients
- Patient Check-In
- Greeting patients warmly
- Verifying personal and insurance information
- Collecting necessary forms and signatures (consents, HIPAA)
- Patient Check-Out
- Scheduling next appointments
- Explaining post-treatment care or follow-up
- Collecting payment and issuing receipts
- Printing or emailing treatment summaries if needed
- Insurance Verification & Coordination
- Verifying benefits before appointments
- Obtaining pre-authorizations if required
- Understanding basic dental insurance terms (e.g., deductibles, co-pays, coverage levels)
- Billing & Payment Processing
- Creating and sending invoices
- Collecting co-pays, deductibles, and balances
- Explaining insurance EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) to patients
- Processing refunds or payment plan arrangements
Requirements
- Proven experience in a front desk or administrative role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and proofreading.
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and office management practices.
- Experience in a dental or medical receptionist role is a plus but not required.
- Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable for effective communication with diverse clientele.

Monday 8am-5pm
Tuesday 8am-5pm
Wednesday 10am-7pm
Thursday 8 am- 5pm
in the future will have Friday 8 am-2pm
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
