● Provides information by answering questions and requests.
● Conserves unit resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
● Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; maintains the reception area.
● Establishes patient record by preparing files and documents, paper and/or electronic; verifying insurance/payor source and patient eligibility; completing patient identification information.
● Maintains patient confidence and protects clinic operations and reputation by keeping information confidential.
● Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
● Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
● Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
● Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
● Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
