Front Desk/Bartender

We are hiring PM bartenders who can work 4:30PM-10:30PM, 1-2 nights per week, with weeknight and weekend availability. Please do not apply if you are not available during this time.

Position Overview

We are hiring a friendly and organized Front Desk/Bar person to join the team at our indoor pickleball club. This position is a combination of a receptionist and a bartender and will interact with guests, answer the phone, respond to emails, and serve drinks/food. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a welcoming demeanor, the ability to keep an eye on a few things at once, and some familiarity with pickleball.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide information about club facilities, programs, and membership options.
• Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and efficiently.
• Register players for classes, leagues, and tournaments using our club management software.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk and lobby area.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of retail items and processing sales transactions.
• Coordinate court reservations and manage the schedule using our booking system.
• Ensure compliance with club policies and procedures.
• Assist with special events, promotions, and other club activities as needed.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all club members and guests.
• Help guests with alcohol and food purchases
• Make and serve alcoholic beverages for guests including cocktails, canned beverages, wine, and pouring draft beer.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service or hospitality industry preferred - especially restaurants/bars.
• Knowledge of pickleball or a willingness to learn about the sport.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong computer skills and experience using computers.
• Ability to learn multiple new software programs quickly

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally.
