Front Desk/Customer Service (Spanish fluency strongly preferred)

Youngs River Auto Repair is a fast-growing, family-owned auto repair shop in Astoria, OR. We take pride in offering high-quality work, honest communication, and a welcoming, no-pressure experience. Our philosophy is simple: take care of people, be transparent, and do the job right.

We're looking for a thoughtful, organized, and people-focused individual to join our team & help support our front desk. This is NOT a sales-driven role - we focus on educating and supporting customers, not selling them more than they need.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fluency in spoken & written English/Spanish - strongly preferred to support our Spanish-fluent customers who have limited English proficiency
  • Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable record

What You'll Do:

  • Interact with customers in person, by phone, and through written communication with consistent warmth and professionalism
  • Put together quotes for maintenance & repairs; research parts, services, and solutions thoughtfully, balancing quality, price, and customer benefit
  • Help customers understand their vehicles and recommended maintenance/repairs in a clear, approachable, and respectful way - ensuring they feel supported, informed, and empowered
  • Occasional shuttle service (using shop-provided vehicle) for customers
  • ... And of course, plenty of other responsibilities & tasks as assigned to support the shop & team

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting Pay: $20-$30/hr, depending on experience, with pay increases based on performance possible
  • Work Schedule: Prefer Mon-Thu 7:30AM to 6:00PM, but open to discussion
  • PTO: Begins accruing at 90 days; full-time employees earn up to 2 weeks in the first year
  • Paid Holidays: Available after 90 days; New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
  • Workwear: Casual shop environment with provided branded t-shirts & hoodies
  • Healthcare & Retirement: Available after 90 days; specifics TBD
