Front Desk Receptionist / Pet Care CoordinatorJob Overview

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist / Pet Care Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and professional experience for both our clients and their pets while ensuring smooth day-to-day front desk operations.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people and dogs, and is comfortable multitasking between customer service, scheduling, and light pet care support.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets warmly while providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and text inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Schedule daycare, boarding, grooming, and evaluation appointments using company software systems.
  • Check pets in and out while reviewing reservations, feeding instructions, medications, and service notes.
  • Maintain accurate client and pet records through data entry and reservation management systems.
  • Assist with clerical and administrative tasks including filing, organizing documents, and managing office supplies.
  • Support daily front desk operations to ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
  • Monitor dogs in designated play areas when needed and communicate any concerns to management or pet care staff.
  • Work collaboratively with daycare, boarding, and grooming teams to ensure smooth guest experiences.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in customer service, reception, hospitality, veterinary, boarding, grooming, or pet care environments preferred.
  • Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and breeds.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using computer systems, scheduling software, and data entry platforms.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar) preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain professionalism during busy periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Schedule

  • Part-Time or full time.
  • 5 -hour or 8-hour shifts available
  • Morning and evening shifts
  • Weekend availability required as needed

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
