Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour


Job Summary :

Pain Care Florida is a physician-centered company with more than 20 medical practices throughout Florida. Our Tamarac Practice is seeking a bilingual (Spanish), energetic, and detail-oriented Front Desk & Scheduling Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, managing front desk operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in scheduling, medical administrative support, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will ensure smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient service. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a caring environment while utilizing your strong organizational skills and healthcare knowledge.


Responsibilities:

· Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive first impression.

· Manage appointment scheduling using the EHR system. Experience with Athenahealth is a plus, but we will train.

· Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorizations, obtain referrals, and conduct insurance verification processes.

· Familiarity with insurance verification processes and insurance portals, including Medicare and other third-party payers.

· Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, handle appointment rescheduling, and address patient inquiries with clarity and empathy.

· Support clinic operations by managing electronic health information management (HIM) and performing clerical tasks such as data entry and typing with high accuracy.

· Previous experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is required.

· Strong knowledge of medical terminology required.

· Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (10 key) skills for efficient documentation review and data entry.

· Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle diverse patient interactions effectively.

Office management or administrative experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
