Duties

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product demos when needed
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including balancing registers at shift end
• Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an organized and appealing store layout
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
• Support in supervising team members during busy periods, ensuring efficient checkout flow and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide friendly, professional customer service
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales processing
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking, and product demos is beneficial
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage with customers confidently

Pay: From $17.13 per hour
