About Our Company:

LIGHTSTREAM is a full-service creative agency based in the suburbs of Philadelphia. We serve a diverse client base, including financial institutions, healthcare providers, and universities. Through our proven brand-building process, strategic marketing plans, and execution of both digital and print components, we help our clients achieve and maintain a competitive edge.

About This Role:

Lightstream is looking for a Front-End Developer who is motivated to code pixel-perfect websites primarily within WordPress using our custom themes. • Translate Figma designs into responsive, pixel-perfect, and accessible front-end code (HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript).
  • Collaborate with designers and project managers to ensure the final product aligns with client expectations.
  • Implement SEO best practices and ensure all websites are optimized for speed, performance, and search visibility.
  • Ensure WCAG 2.2 accessibility compliance and test across modern browsers and devices for consistency and usability.
  • Maintain and update existing websites, troubleshoot bugs, and improve functionality or security when needed.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and tools, such as marketing platforms, CRMs, or analytics.
  • Manage WordPress back-end components, including custom post types, taxonomies, and advanced custom fields (ACF).
  • Coach and mentor a junior developer, providing guidance on coding standards, problem-solving, and best practices in WordPress development.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, sharing ideas to streamline processes and enhance the user and developer experience.

Core Technical Skills Required:

  • Expert in WordPress CMS (theme development and custom builds)
  • HTML5, CSS3, Sass/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Working knowledge of PHP
  • Experience with Bootstrap 5+ or comparable frameworks
  • Understanding of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards

Beneficial to Have:

  • Experience with ACF Pro, Gravity Forms, and custom post types
  • Familiarity with Gulp, Webpack, npm, or yarn
  • Experience building responsive HTML emails
  • Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub and version control workflows
  • Familiarity with VPS hosting and server management via WHM/cPanel
  • Basic understanding of SQL and phpMyAdmin

  • Have a passion for development and a curiosity to adapt as technologies and tools evolve.
  • Take advantage of using AI tools to enhance your daily performance.
