Front-End Developer/Design-to-Code Specialist

Nomad eCommerce is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Front-End Developer/Design-to-Code Specialist to join our team. You’ll play a key role in translating design into production-ready code with precision and efficiency, working alongside developers, project managers, and UX/UI designers to deliver solutions that support our clients’ core business operations. Your work will enhance user experience, improve performance, and contribute to the evolution of our ecommerce platform.

In this role, you will translate detailed mockups into fast, responsive, and pixel-perfect web experiences. You’ll implement and maintain key front-end components across the development lifecycle, from build to deployment and optimization. You’ll take ownership of projects from concept through launch, delivering reliable, high-quality results. What You'll Do:

• Transform sophisticated Figma and Photoshop mockups into semantic, clean HTML5 and CSS3, ensuring pixel-perfect accuracy across typography, spacing, and interactive states.
• Ensure every aspect of the UI, including typography, spacing, and interactive states, matches the original design with 100% precision.
• Implement Google Analytics and GTM tracking to ensure all user behaviors and conversion events are captured accurately.
• Optimize all front-end assets for maximum speed and strong Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, and INP) to ensure a professional user experience.
• Ensure layout integrity across all devices, with a heavy focus on mobile-first workflows.
• Partner with core engineers to refine internal tools, improving platform efficacy and reach.
• Ideate and collaborate with peers to solve problems and bring innovative ideas to life.
• Continuously deepen technical expertise to improve code quality, performance, and development efficiency.
• Lead multiple simultaneous projects with dynamic requirements.
• Set high standards for quality and inspire excellence in teammates.
• Foster a supportive culture emphasizing collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support business objectives.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of professional web development experience.
• Perfectionist mindset: Execute designs with complete accuracy, delivering pixel-perfect results while understanding the complexities of B2B eCommerce and industrial web platforms.
• Mastery of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, including implementing and validating tracking for user behavior and eCommerce events.
• Deep expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
• Extensive experience extracting assets and CSS values from Figma and Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and DOM manipulation to build dynamic, performant UI features without unnecessary reliance on heavy libraries.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React.js, Vue.js) and templating engines (e.g., EJS).
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working with structured data.
• Solid working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Strong focus on performance optimization, including tools such as Lighthouse and Webpage Test, along with a commitment to code reusability and front-end best practices.
• Effective communicator with strong documentation skills, able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks while driving work to completion within defined timelines.
• Strong design sensibility with a solid understanding of UX/UI principles.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG guidelines).
• Familiarity with SEO fundamentals.
• Basic backend development knowledge.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD methodologies.
