Job Summary
The Front End Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of front-end machinery and equipment within the CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and product quality.
Job Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative maintenance on all front-end machinery, including but not limited to, can body makers, trimmers, flangers, and seaming machines.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment, implementing effective and timely repairs to minimize downtime.

Conduct equipment adjustments and calibrations to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met.

Execute emergency repairs and respond to machine breakdowns promptly to restore production.

Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics for machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.

Assist in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of new or old equipment.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.

Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout protocols.

Collaborate with production operators and other maintenance team members to identify and resolve recurring equipment problems.

Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment reliability.
Job Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or diploma in mechanical maintenance, industrial mechanics, or a related field is highly preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanical technician or mechanic, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment, ideally in the can-making or packaging industry.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical principles.

Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions (e.g., bending, kneeling, climbing).

Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by production schedules.
