Front End React Developer Remote across Australia 130K - 150K + Super

A growing technology organisation is seeking an experienced React Front-End Developer to support the delivery of a major greenfield product initiative. The successful candidate will work as part of a distributed team alongside a newly appointed Project Manager, contributing to the design and development of front-end components within a hybrid onshore/offshore model. This role is ideal for someone who works well independently, enjoys collaborating with remote teams, and has strong modern front-end engineering skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, responsive user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript technologies.
• Collaborate closely with project management, backend engineers, and distributed development teams.
• Translate UI/UX wireframes and design concepts into functional front-end components.
• Participate in requirements refinement and contribute technical insights to solution design.
• Maintain code quality, performance, and readability through best practices, testing, and documentation.
• Conduct code reviews and support technical coaching where appropriate.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in development processes and standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-6+ years of commercial experience as a Front-End or React Developer.
• Strong expertise with: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3/Responsive Design, RESTful API integration.
• Experience with modern build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite, Babel).
• Familiarity with component-driven development and reusable UI patterns.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and Git workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with remote or distributed teams.
• Experience reviewing portfolios, GitHub repositories, or design-to-build examples is an advantage.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to contribute to UX discussions and design thinking.
