Position Overview

As a Barista / Server at Postcard, your primary responsibility is to prepare quality coffee and deliver thoughtful guest experiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and cares deeply about hospitality.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver warm, consistent, and high-quality guest service in line with Postcard’s brand standards and hospitality values
• Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including coffee, tea and non-alcoholic beverages
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of guest-facing areas in accordance with FDA Food Code and local health department requirements
• Coordinate with kitchen and back-of-house teams to ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment and smooth communication during service
• Support the setup and execution of events, activations, and seasonal programming, following safety, permitting, and alcohol service guidelines (when applicable)
• Help foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports team morale and aligns with anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies
• Address guest concerns professionally and in alignment with company values, escalating issues when appropriate and documenting incidents as needed
• Fulfill physical requirements of the role, including standing for extended periods, participating in opening and closing procedures, and light janitorial tasks

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3 years of experience in cafés or small independent restaurants
• A passion for creating meaningful guest experiences and an appreciation for music, design, and creative expression
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Calm, steady presence, especially during busy periods
• Comfort stepping into different tasks and supporting the team where needed
• Strong sense of hospitality, grounded in care and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
