Front of House – Host/Hostess

This role is based out of our Downtown Knoxville location! The Host warmly greets all customers at the door, welcoming them to the Tomato Head. Host responsibilities also include:

• Seating customers
• Balancing customers among all servers
• Managing the waitlist and wait times
• Answering telephone
• Taking reservations
• Helping customers with to-go orders
• Communicating with servers and floor manager

The typical path of advancement is to become a host trainer, support staff or server.

REQUIREMENTS

• No prior experience necessary
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills
• Need to be able to remain calm under pressure
• Must be comfortable working on your feet for five-plus hours
• Be able to work a variety of shifts including day, evening and weekend shifts.

Full-Time and Part-Time positions available. No prior experience necessary, we are happy to train folks that are ready to learn. A variety of day, night, evening and weekend shifts are available to fit your availability

Starting pay is $7.25 per hour plus tips.
