Irie Ting Jamaican Grill is seeking energetic, customer-focused individuals to join our Front of House (FOH) team. As a key member of the FOH staff, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they have an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Whether you're greeting guests, serving food, or providing drinks, your role will be critical to maintaining a welcoming and efficient atmosphere in our restaurant. Responsibilities:
- Guest Interaction: Greet and welcome guests with a warm, friendly attitude as they enter the restaurant.
- Seating Guests (Host/Hostess): Seat guests in a timely manner, ensuring they are comfortable and aware of restaurant specials.
- Order Taking & Serving (Server/Waitstaff): Take food and drink orders accurately, recommend menu items, and serve food and beverages promptly.
- Bar Service (Bartender): Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, interact with customers at the bar, and maintain cleanliness in the bar area.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure guests are satisfied with their meals and experience; address any concerns or special requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, bussers, and management to ensure smooth service and maintain an efficient flow throughout the dining room.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Help maintain cleanliness of dining areas, reset tables for incoming guests, and keep service stations organized.
- Order Accuracy: Communicate food orders to the kitchen and ensure the correct order is delivered to the right guest.
- Payment Processing: Accurately process guest payments and provide change, receipts, or credit card transactions.
- Sanitation: Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean dining environment for both guests and staff.
- Stocking & Supplies: Assist with restocking supplies and keeping the dining room and bar fully stocked during service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a front-of-house role (server, host, bartender, or bussing) is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests and coworkers.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for hospitality.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
