Front of House Staff Member

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and efficient processing
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and handling
• Manage cash handling duties with precision, including cashiering and basic retail math calculations
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, bars, or event spaces such as banquets or nightclubs
• Support sales initiatives by upselling menu items and promoting specials to enhance guest experience
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during busy hours, including catering or banquet events
• Follow all food safety protocols and health regulations to uphold hygiene standards in food handling and serving

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments, especially in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cashiering
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or events efficiently under pressure
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for retail math, cash handling, and sales transactions
• Experience in serving alcohol or brewing environments is a plus but not required
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and manage guest needs confidently
