Position Summary
The Front of House Team Member is responsible for providing excellent customer service from the moment guests walk through the door until they leave. Team members may rotate between hosting, serving, expediting food, and bartending duties to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations. Successful candidates must be friendly, organized, attentive to detail, and capable of multitasking in a high-volume environment.
Essential ResponsibilitiesHost Duties
- Welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Manage the waitlist and accurately quote wait times.
- Seat guests efficiently while balancing server sections.
- Answer phones and assist with takeout and catering inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and front entrance.
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
- Communicate effectively with servers and managers regarding seating flow.
Server Duties
- Greet guests promptly and explain menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Enter orders into the POS system correctly.
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner.
- Check on guests throughout their dining experience.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when needed.
- Complete side work, restocking, and cleaning duties.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients.
Expo Duties
- Organize and manage food tickets to ensure timely order completion.
- Inspect plates for accuracy, presentation, and quality.
- Communicate with kitchen staff regarding ticket priorities and modifications.
- Garnish plates and prepare items for delivery.
- Coordinate with servers and food runners to ensure prompt service.
- Ensure no food leaves the kitchen unless it is complete and correct.
- Keep the expo line clean, stocked, and organized.
- Maintain a sense of urgency during peak periods.
Bartender Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and company standards.
- Verify guest identification and comply with all alcohol service laws.
- Maintain a clean and fully stocked bar area.
- Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are low.
- Process beverage orders quickly and accurately.
- Engage guests with friendly and professional service.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
General Front of House Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and customer service.
- Work collaboratively with all team members.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and sanitation guidelines.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Arrive on time and in proper uniform.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Assist other departments when needed.
- Support takeout, online orders, and catering operations.
- Restock cups, silverware, condiments, and other supplies.
- Run food whenever needed.
- Complete assigned opening, running, and closing duties.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Bartenders must meet all legal age requirements and alcohol certification requirements.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Pay: $10.98 - $15.00 per hour
