Front of House Team Member/Cashier

We are a busy NYC-based bagel shop with 2 locations in upper manhattan, and our newest location in Ann Arbor Michigan. We are looking for full time, experienced front of house team members, who know how to work a POS cash register (Toast), pack and expedite orders, and make coffees. Must be good with talking to customers and must have experience handling cash. Applicants with Food Handlers Certificate will be given priority. We are a business with room for advancement.

This position earns $16.50/hour-$18/hour including tips.

If you do not have any restaurant experience we will not consider you.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Serve coffees, teas, other beverages
• Perform daily opening and closing procedures
• Prep work including packaging cream cheese, weighing fish, grinding coffee, labeling items
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Stock and ensure merchandise is organized and properly displayed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service and timely order delivery.
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales

Requirements:

• Previous experience in fast casual restaurant preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
• Excellent organizational skills to ensure merchandise is properly stocked and displayed
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
