Front of House Team Member/Server

Job Overview
We are a vegan restaurant seeking a good fit to join our small team. As a Front of House staff member, you will essentially be the face of our business and a crucial part in creating memorable dining experiences while supporting the team in maintaining high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the Toast POS system.
• Craft quality drinks (smoothies, juices, coffee, tea, refreshers & alcoholic beverages).
• Process payments using the Toast POS.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness (buss tables, wash dishes, wipe countertops/tables & sweep the floors).
• Communicate with kitchen staff about adjustments to orders (ex: allergies, gluten intolerance, etc.).
• Package, label and hand off all online and delivery app orders.
• Provide assistance to guests by answering questions about the menu or making recommendations.
• Perform daily inventory and supply orders and informing management regarding out of stock items.

Qualifications (required)

• Previous experience in a customer service oriented position.
• Strong work ethic and customer service skills.
• Valid Washington State Food Handlers Card and MAST permit, or the ability to obtain within 1 week of employment.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English.
• Efficient at managing multiple priorities at once.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work within a team.
• Flexible schedule and reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Qualifications (preferred)

• Proficiency using the Toast POS system, or a similar POS system.
• Experience working for a start-up business and being a part of a small team working together.
• Interest in vegan food.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
