Front Office- Administrative

  • Greets patients, ascertains purpose of visit, and confirms or updates demographics and insurance in EMR system.
  • Checks in and out patients in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  • Verifies eligibility for all walk-ins, obtains proof of eligibility, makes copies of picture ID, and of front/back of insurance card.
  • Obtain signatures for form and documents and scan all required documents into EMR system.
  • Directly responds to questions, provides guidance to patients and anticipates patient needs; accountable for their comfort.
  • Collects co-payments from patients.
  • Post payments from patients.
  • Courteously answers calls, forwards to appropriate team member and accurately documents messages.
  • Schedules, cancels and reschedules regular, missed and follow-up appointments; Schedules patient transportation as needed.
  • Calls and confirms appointments; unconfirmed for day of and for the following day; conducts follow-up calls as needed to check on patients.
  • Effectively manage special projects and other tasks as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required.
