Overview
We are a Private endodontic practice seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Front Office Assistant to join our team! The front office assistant serves as the first point of contact for patients and referring offices, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring efficient scheduling, accurate documentation, and smooth daily operations of the office. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage your duties in a fast-paced specialty practice environment. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will help create a positive environment for patients and staff alike.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a positive first impression
- Verify patient insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility verification using
- Schedule appointments efficiently using scheduling software, managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
- Review and update patient records accurately, including documentation review for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with billing processes, including CDT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and claims submission
- Handle patient inquiries via phone and in person, providing excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality and proper phone etiquette
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, managing medical records, and maintaining office supplies to ensure seamless operations
Skills
- Proven experience in dental office support, including front desk duties in a healthcare setting such as dental or medical clinics
- Strong knowledge of dental software (TDO experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with dental terminology, CDT codes, and insurance verification processes
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (including 10-key typing)
- Exceptional patient service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to review clinical documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA guidelines for health information management
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Prior dental office experience is preferred to ensure familiarity with billing, collections, insurance claim and payments.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
