Duties

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify their information, and facilitate efficient intake processes
  • Manage appointment scheduling using electronic health record systems, ensuring optimal flow of patient visits
  • Collect and update patient demographics, insurance details, and medical histories with accuracy and professionalism
  • Assist with patient inquiries, providing clear information about procedures, treatments, and clinic policies
  • Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms, handling administrative tasks related to patient care documentation
  • Maintain a clean, organized front desk area that reflects the clinic’s commitment to hygiene and professionalism
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient flow from check-in through discharge, enhancing overall patient satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in patient service or front desk roles within healthcare settings such as hospitals or clinics
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and outpatient care practices
  • Familiarity with hospital or inpatient environments, especially in acute or post-acute care settings
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally
  • Prior experience working in orthopedics, geriatrics, or sub-acute care is highly desirable
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Knowledge of intake procedures and familiarity with hospital medicine concepts will be considered an asset
