Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Front Desk Coordinator with a minimum of two years of dental office experience to join our team. This role is essential to delivering an exceptional patient experience while ensuring the front office operates efficiently and effectively.
The ideal candidate is confident, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a warm and professional presence with patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in/check out patients with professionalism and efficiency
- Manage and optimize the daily schedule for both hygiene and doctor columns
- Answer incoming calls and handle patient inquiries with excellent customer service
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
- Accurately enter and update patient information in the practice management system (e.g., Open Dental)
- Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments
- Maintain detailed and accurate communication logs
- Assist with treatment plan presentation and follow-up to support case acceptance
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure a smooth and timely experience
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to maintain productivity goals
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of dental front office experience (required)
- Proficiency with dental software (Open Dental or similar preferred)
- Strong understanding of dental insurance and scheduling protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with treatment coordination or case presentation
- Familiarity with production goals and schedule optimization
- Bilingual skills (if applicable to patient population)
