Frontend Developer

We are looking for a pragmatic and user-focused Frontend Developer to join our product and engineering team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain performant, accessible, and maintainable user interfaces that deliver excellent user experiences across web and mobile web platforms. This role requires strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, a good eye for UI/UX details, collaboration with design and backend teams, and a commitment to frontend engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities for Frontend Developer - UI Development, Performance & Collaboration

  • Build and maintain responsive, accessible, and cross-browser user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular) and TypeScript where applicable.

  • Translate wireframes, mockups, and interaction patterns from designers into production-ready components and pages with attention to usability and visual fidelity.

  • Develop reusable component libraries, design system patterns, and documentation to promote consistency and accelerate development across products.

  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs, manage client-side state, and optimize data fetching strategies for performance and reliability.

  • Implement performance optimizations including code-splitting, lazy loading, image optimization, memoization, and minimizing bundle sizes to meet latency and Core Web Vitals goals.

  • Ensure accessibility (WCAG) and internationalization/localization requirements are met; write and maintain automated tests and end-to-end scenarios to validate functionality.

  • Apply software engineering best practices—unit and integration testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and documentation—to frontend code and delivery pipelines.

  • Participate in product planning, sprint ceremonies, and cross-functional reviews to align on priorities, deliverables, and release scope.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, implement observability for frontend metrics and errors, and work with SRE/ops teams to improve reliability.

  • Mentor junior developers, contribute to team processes and playbooks, and present technical designs and trade-offs to stakeholders when needed.

Required Qualifications - Frontend Developer Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building production frontend applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.

  • Strong proficiency with HTML5, CSS3 (including Flexbox/Grid), and responsive design principles; experience with CSS-in-JS or preprocessors (e.g., SASS) is a plus.

  • Experience building and maintaining component-driven architectures, state management solutions (e.g., Redux, MobX, Zustand), and component testing frameworks.

  • Familiarity with build tooling and bundlers (e.g., Webpack, Vite, Rollup), package management, and performance tooling (Lighthouse, WebPageTest).

  • Solid understanding of web accessibility standards, semantic HTML, and techniques for internationalization/localization.

  • Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively with designers, backend engineers, and product managers.

Preferred Qualifications - Tools, Frameworks & Domain Experience

  • Experience with TypeScript in large codebases and familiarity with strict typing strategies and migration approaches.

  • Knowledge of progressive web app (PWA) features, service workers, and offline-first considerations.

  • Practical experience with design systems, Storybook, visual regression testing, and component documentation workflows.

  • Familiarity with mobile performance optimization and hybrid frameworks or cross-platform strategies is a plus.

  • Prior experience in a fast-growing SaaS, consumer, or enterprise product environment and involvement in end-to-end product delivery is desirable.

Work Environment & Compensation - Frontend Developer Salary & Benefits
  • Full-time position with an onsite work model.

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan options, and paid time off.

  • Opportunities for professional development, training, conference attendance, and support for certifications; clear paths for career growth within a collaborative and inclusive team.

  • Culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, healthy work-life balance, and employee well-being.
