Frontend Developer (React.js / Next.js / Tailwind / Vue / Angular / Maps Integration)

About the Role

Crossway Consulting is seeking a skilled Frontend Developer with strong expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and hands-on experience in building custom interactive maps for web applications. You’ll collaborate with our backend and design teams to develop advanced, high-performance interfaces for our maritime SaaS solutions and other digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop dynamic and responsive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks.
• Design and implement custom, data-driven maps with extensive interactivity for maritime web apps.
• Integrate APIs for vessel tracking, routes, and weather layers.
• Work with backend developers to connect real-time geospatial and analytics data.
• Optimize frontend performance for complex visual data and mapping layers.
• Maintain code quality, version control, and documentation.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in React.js and Next.js.
• Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS, Ant Design, or similar UI frameworks.
• Expertise in Redux, Context API, or other state management tools.
• Working knowledge of Vue.js or Angular (a plus).
• Experience with interactive map libraries such as:
• Mapbox GL JS
• Leaflet.js
• Google Maps API
• OpenLayers
• Familiarity with GeoJSON, WebGL, and Turf.js for geospatial data handling.
• Experience with Chart.js, Recharts, or other visualization libraries.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Framer Motion, GSAP, or other animation libraries.
• Knowledge of Figma or Adobe XD for UI/UX collaboration.
• Familiarity with Socket.io or WebSockets for real-time data rendering.
• Experience in SaaS product interfaces, especially maritime or logistics platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Portfolio or GitHub showcasing work with map-based applications or data visual dashboards.
