About Mouse & Cheese

Mouse & Cheese is a humanity centered experience design studio and product partner. We work at the intersection of design, consumer behaviour, strategy, and technology translating neuroscience led insights into products, platforms, identities, AR/VR applications, and digital experiences people actually use.

We question what should be built, why it should exist, and how it should evolve. We are now building our product engineering capability from zero.

Why this role exists

This role exists to build products from first principles. You will define the technical foundation of new products from concept to MVP to scalable systems. You will sit at the same table as brand, research, design, and growth to co-own product outcomes.

This is not a support role. This is a founding product engineering role with ownership over speed, quality, and survivability of what gets shipped.

We’re building a tiny founding team to ship multiple zero-to-one products in 90 days.
Content platforms. Communities. Marketplaces. Sports tech. This is not a “frontend dev” role. This is a product engineer role.

What you’ll do

• Co-define product direction with founders + UX
• Architect frontend systems (not just build screens)
• Ship MVPs, observe user behaviour, iterate
• Own frontend architecture, performance, and product flows

Stack (context, not dogma):
React, Next.js, TypeScript, APIs, modern state management, design systems.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in product engineering and product design collaboration
• Proven record of building products end-to-end
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Clear communication and cross functional collaboration
• Degree in engineering, design, or equivalent real-world product experience (Or you are just a dropout with a product brain)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
