SUMMARY
- The Sr. Installation Services Manager is responsible for managing FlexSteel’s field installation personnel and for ensuring the successful field installation of FlexSteel products. This role will ensure that field installations are done safely, meet quality standards and meet or exceed customer satisfaction levels while delivering installations profitability targets. Managing the day-to-day installations with field Supervisors, installation technicians, contractors and customers to execute to standards and handle any installations related issues that may arise.

- Champion “safety first” culture and drive discipline and accountability across field personnel and certified contractor technicians to ensure safe and high quality field installations.
- Oversees multiple regions/branches or larger, more strategic accounts; responsible for overall field operations performance.
- Owns budgets, headcount planning, and higher-level operational decisions; may set or refine service processes and is accountable for regional P&L or significant cost and revenue targets.
- Leads other managers or supervisors, drives cross-functional initiatives (with Sales, Operations, HSE, etc.) and is expected to mentor managers, champion culture, and lead change.
- Manage day-to-day installations and related issues with supervisors, installation technicians, contractors and customers to ensure successful installations and target utilization
- Lead resolution of customer issues related to installations and installation personnel including contractors
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to field installation including installations manual, standard operating procedures, field notes, safety and quality alerts
- Drive discipline around compliance with company and/or services policies, and procedures/initiatives including reporting incidents, timely and accurate paperwork, and for company assets
- Support project executions, pre-job kickoff meetings and business development in developing new and supporting repeat customers
- Oversee business development of new & management of existing installation contractors
- Owning relationships with key customers, negotiating service terms, and partnering with
Sales/Operations leadership
- Building tracking dashboards (SLAs, safety, quality, first-time fix, utilization) and using data to spot treads and drive improvements.
- Manage installations personnel utilization to profitability to set targets.
- Coach other managers/supervisors, succession planning, handling escalated HR issues, and shaping team culture and engagement.
- Identify and execute efficiency and cost reduction initiatives for installation services to improve profitability
- Participate in development of the annual budget for the installations business
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

- High School Diploma or Associates Degree, plus at least seven (7) years experience in a pipeline construction (or related industry) with supervisory responsibilities.
- Typically require more years in management, a track record of running larger teams/regions, and sometimes stronger business or finance skills (budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning).
- Strong supervisory, organizational, decision making, and planning skills are required
- Extensive knowledge of pipeline construction, spoolable product installation, and the associated equipment, maintenance and operational considerations.
- Must be self driven and able to work independently.
- Must demonstrate the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize work assignments.
- Must be cognizant of deadlines (internal/external) and tenacious in preserving them.
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong health and safety emphasis with focus on keeping all appropriate certifications current.
