We are seeking a dynamic, well organized and highly motivated Facility Security Officer (FSO) (60% time) with prior relevant experience to also work as HR Specialist (40% time). This dual role is critical in supporting both our human resources and security teams. This position requires to be in the Springfield VA office twice a week.
FSO Key Responsibilities:
The FSO provides security management for all collateral classified programs in accordance with DCSA and agency specific regulations. This includes, but not limited to, the management of the following disciplines:

Responsible for implementing the industrial security program and ensuring company and customer security requirements are met.

Conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.

DISS Management – Ensure the DISS is updated, process VARs, submit CSRs as needed, and start investigations
-
Visits and meetings - Managing all processes and procedures ensuring the protection of classified information forecloses its possibility of loss or compromise.

Security Incidents - Manage investigation and reporting in accordance with DCSA and sponsor requirements.

Security Awareness Training & Education - providing security trainings and briefings to all employees commensurate to their level of involvement with classified

Accurately review, respond to, and process all security paperwork for accuracy, completion, compliance and submission through various systems.

Review DD254s for accuracy and completeness of information to ensure compliance with specific programs. Request feedback, clarification, and changes as needed to DD254s.

Self-motivated candidate capable of working in an independent or team environment with minimal direction.
Qualifications:

7+ years of FSO experience

Knowledge of security clearance processes and government security regulations (NISP, etc.) Ability to manage special access programs, understanding of security databases such as DISS, eQIP, NISS, etc.

HR Key Responsibilities:
The HR Specialist supports the HR Director and partners closely with Recruiting and Finance to deliver effective, compliant, and people-centered HR operations. Responsibilities span across multiple HR processes with both administrative and strategic core functions The human resources (HR) team is focused on what people need and how to provide it.

Supports the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition coordination, onboarding and offboarding and new hire orientation

Qualifications:

Minimum of 7+ years of progressive human resources experience, supporting multiple HR functions including performance management, compensation, benefits, training, employee engagement, and employee lifecycle administration.

Demonstrated experience partnering with senior HR leadership, recruiting teams, and finance to support organizational goals and ensure operational alignment.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and process improvement.

Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and related HR tools.
