About the Family

A warm and welcoming family in Teaneck is seeking a reliable and organized hybrid housekeeper/babysitter to help keep their home running smoothly and supervise their two children, ages 9 and 5, after school. This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys maintaining an organized household and being a steady, supportive presence for school-age children.

Schedule Structure

• 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM: Housekeeping and household management
• 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM: After-school supervision of the children

ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping and Household Support

• Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the family home
• Laundry for the household
• Organizing and maintaining tidy living spaces
• Preparing a simple dinner for the family using easy recipes
• General household upkeep to ensure the home runs smoothly

Child Supervision

• Greeting the children after school and supervising them in the afternoon
• Ensuring the children are safe and cared for
• Assisting them with anything they may need during the afternoon and early evening
• Providing a calm and responsible presence in the home

Requirements

• Previous residential housekeeping experience
• Some childcare experience with school-age children
• Conversational English is required in order to communicate with the family and children
• Driver strongly preferred (higher pay offered for candidates who drive)
• Reliable, organized, and trustworthy
• Strong references from previous employers
