Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic full-time educator to teach mathematics to students in grades 6 through 12. The ideal candidate will be adept at delivering a rigorous, research-based curriculum and employing student-centered instructional strategies that are engaging and emphasize outside-of-the-box thinking. Hours would be from 7:45 am to 4:00 pm M, T, Th, F and 7:45 am to 4:30 on Wednesdays which includes personal planning time and our weekly staff meeting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Teach various math subjects including Middle School math concepts, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, and Geometry
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special needs or learning disabilities
• Utilize technology, gamification, and learning tools to enhance instruction
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a comprehensive educational experience
• Foster a love of learning and promote student growth and development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education or Mathematics
• Experience with ESE, twice-exceptional and Gifted students
• Experience teaching middle and high school students
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment
• Experience and strong skills in differentiation and pace-based instruction
• Commitment to fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills through Socratic methods
• Ability to bring learning to life; making it relevant for today's students
• True passion for teaching and mentoring students
• Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels
• Professional, organized, data & mission-driven skills
