Full-Time Nanny – Jersey City, NJ

Location: Jersey City, NJ
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Children: One child (1 year old)
Compensation: $30–$35 per hour depending on experience

About the Family

Warm family in Jersey City is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their one-year-old child. They have a very close and loving extended family and are hoping to find a nanny who will become a trusted and valued part of their child’s life.

The parents are looking for someone who is attentive, thoughtful, and truly enjoys supporting a young child’s growth and development. This is intended to be a long-term role with a family that values reliability, kindness, and a nurturing approach to childcare.

Responsibilities

• Providing attentive, loving care for a one-year-old
• Engaging the child in developmentally appropriate play and learning activities
• Supporting healthy routines for feeding, naps, and daily structure
• Documenting activities, naps, and feedings using the Huckleberry app
• Capturing occasional photos or moments to share with the parents
• Preparing simple meals or snacks for the child
• Maintaining a clean and organized environment for the child
• Remaining highly attentive to safety at all times

The child is currently experiencing some skin concerns that may be related to food sensitivities, so attentiveness to feeding and observation is especially important.

Requirements

• Previous childcare experience, preferably with infants or young toddlers
• Background in education or strong knowledge of developmental stages preferred
• Strong references
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Comfortable using the Huckleberry app to track routines and activities
• Warm, reliable, and attentive caregiver

The following are a plus but not required:

• Cooking skills
• Driving ability
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally with the family
