Overnight Medical Courier – Full Time (Falmouth, ME)

Schedule: 7:30 PM – 3:30 AM

Vehicle: Company‑owned and maintained

Position Overview

Uniship Courier Services is seeking an experienced, reliable Overnight Courier to operate a dedicated route serving Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. This is a safety‑sensitive position involving time‑critical medical deliveries. Routes operate in all weather conditions and are rarely cancelled.

Route Summary

• Start shift in Falmouth, ME at 7:30 PM
• Make an early pickup in Portland
• Return to Falmouth to meet connecting Uniship drivers
• Load outbound shipments and depart Falmouth by 9:20 PM
• Complete scheduled deliveries in MA and NH
• Return to Falmouth and end shift at approximately 3:30 AM

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company‑owned vehicle on a fixed overnight route
• Transport time‑sensitive medical and laboratory shipments, including occasional heavy water‑sample containers
• Use a handcart and follow safe lifting practices for heavier items
• Use a mobile app for scanning, tracking, and communication
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch and fellow couriers
• Follow all delivery timelines and route procedures
• Represent Uniship professionally with clients and partner facilities

Requirements

• Experienced drivers only (medical courier or commercial driving experience strongly preferred)
• Ability to drive safely in all weather conditions, including winter storms
• Strong reliability and attendance history
• Ability to use a smartphone‑based courier app
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift and maneuver transport bags, coolers, and water‑sample containers using proper technique
• Comfortable working independently on an overnight schedule
