Kimbro Oil Company is based in Nashville, Tennessee and currently seeking a motivated and detailed-oriented Fuel Dispatcher. The Fuel Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and dispatching fuel deliveries to our customers efficiently and accurately. This role involves managing schedules, communicating with drivers, and ensuring that customer requirements are met in a timely manner.

This position is Monday – Friday & every other Saturday 7am – 4pm in the office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule fuel deliveries to various locations
  • Monitor delivery progress and address any issues that arise during transit
  • Communicate effectively with drivers providing clear instructions and support
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide exceptional service
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize delivery routes and schedules
  • Answer and respond to incoming calls/emails related to the fuel department in a timely, professional, and courteous manner
  • Maintains working knowledge of Federal, State, and local rules and regulations, including, but not limited to, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation (FMCSR) and Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company policies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Responsible for the completion of other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management

Educational /Other Requirements

  • High School diploma, additional education or certification in logistics or a related field is a plus
  • At least 5 years of previous experience in dispatching and logistics
  • Commercial driving or hazardous material dispatching experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using dispatch software (SkyBitz a plus) and other computer applications
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-pasted environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues
  • Proven knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
