Fuel Procurement Specialist
Location: Medina, MN | Full-Time | Operations Department
ASM Group is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven
Fuel Procurement Specialist
to support and optimize our company's fueling program. Reporting to the Fuel Procurement Manager, this role is responsible for sourcing and managing supplier relationships, negotiating competitive pricing, auditing billing accuracy, and ensuring reliable fuel supply to support fleet operations and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Research, identify, and evaluate fuel suppliers that meet ASM Group's operational and service requirements.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; conduct performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.

Analyze supplier pricing structures, compare costs, and negotiate competitive rates aligned with company goals.

Conduct vendor audits to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.

Monitor order status and coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, or invoicing issues.

Assist with fuel claims and investigations related to product loss incidents, providing necessary documentation and support.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient and cost-effective fuel operations.

Support additional projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of transportation industry experience preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics,

Supply Chain, or related field, preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel skills strongly preferred).

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Working knowledge of refrigerated trailers, fueling, and bulk fuel delivery preferred.
