Full and Part Time Cashier

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle cash and operate a POS system effectively. A background in retail sales or Liquor store operations is preferred.

Duties

• Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
• Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining a clean work area.
• Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance the shopping experience.
• Conduct product demonstrations when necessary to inform customers about new items.
• Maintain knowledge of store policies, procedures, and promotions to assist customers effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Requirements

• Must be 21+ and eligible to work around alcohol and tobacco.
• Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus—but not required.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and customer interaction.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Flexible scheduling (great for students or second jobs).

• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs when needed
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a well-organized store environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
