FULL CHARGE BOOK KEEPER/CONTROLLER

Responsibilities:

Our bookkeeper will be responsible for:

  • Processing of full cycle A/P, A/R, B/S, bank reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of medical insurance billing through AdvancedMD
  • Strong understanding of grant billing
  • Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensuring legal requirements compliance.
  • Payroll
  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Investigates and resolve problems associated with the processing of invoices
  • Prepare profit and loss statement and balance sheet
  • Performing other clerical duties as assigned
  • Depositing checks in the bank
  • Control expenses through analysis & verification of invoices and expense reports.
  • Job costing and profitability analysis
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounting records
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation on a regular basis
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation on a regular basis
  • Ensure accurate recording of debits and credits
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop to perform daily tasks
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting principles and GAAP

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficient in using accounting software, such as Sage and QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices
- Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Familiarity with governmental accounting principles and GAAP

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $37.00 per hour
