About the Role

We’re looking for a Full-Charge Bookkeeper who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. You’ll manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of clients — from daily transactions to month-end close — while maintaining accuracy, transparency, and proactive communication.

This is not data entry. It’s ownership. You’ll be the backbone of each client’s accounting process, working closely with our controllers and CFOs to ensure clean, timely, and actionable financials.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple small business clients
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts monthly
• Prepare and maintain accrual or cash-basis general ledgers
• Process A/R, A/P, and payroll entries accurately and on schedule
• Support month-end close: journal entries, adjustments, and trial balances
• Generate and review financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Communicate with clients regularly to clarify transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with DOAAR controllers and CFOs to improve client workflows and automation
• Maintain organization across multiple entities, platforms, and deadlines

Tools We Use (to name a few)

QuickBooks Online • Bill.com • Fathom • Toast • Shopify • Gusto • Excel

(Experience in these systems is ideal, but we’ll provide training for the right fit.)

What You Bring

• 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience (multi-client preferred)
• Strong understanding of accrual vs. cash accounting
• Proficiency with QBO
• Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities with precision
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication
• A problem-solver’s mindset and commitment to continuous improvement

Bonus Points

• Experience in construction, e-commerce, or inventory-based accounting
• Controller or payroll background
• Familiarity with process automation or AI tools
