Full Charge Bookkeeper

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper located in the greater Eastside of Seattle area to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, including processing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and completing Account Reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Accounts Receivable (AR): Process customer invoices, monitor collections, and reconcile AR accounts.

· Accounts Payable (AP): Review and process vendor invoices including expense reports and company credit cards, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate records.

· Payroll: Prepare and process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

· Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.

· Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including the general ledger, and support external tax preparation by organizing and providing required documentation.

· Reporting: Generate routine financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries for management review.

· Perform month, quarter and year-end closing activities.

· Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes including responding to customer inquiries and credit chargebacks.

· Collect and process mail from the Company box.

Requirements

· Education: Associate’s degree in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field; or equivalent work experience

· Experience: 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.

· Working knowledge of GAAP and standard bookkeeping practices.

· Prior experience processing payroll in a multi-state environment.

· Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

· Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong organizational skills and commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· While this position is fully remote, you must be in the greater Seattle, WA area preferably the Eastside (Redmond, Bellevue or Issaquah).

· Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary Range and Benefits

· $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
