Full-Charge Bookkeeper (Construction / Job Costing) – MUST Live in Tucson, AZ

We are a growing $10–12M project-based construction company seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations, job costing, and monthly reporting.

This is a hybrid role. Most work may be performed remotely; however, the candidate MUST reside in Tucson, Arizona and attend regular in-person meetings. Out-of-area applicants will not be considered.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping (AP, AR, reconciliations)
  • Progress billing and milestone invoicing
  • Track subcontractor payments and material deposits
  • Maintain accurate job costing and change orders
  • Month-end close and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet)
  • WIP reporting and job profitability analysis
  • Cash flow reporting
  • Maintain QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
  • Coordinate with CPA
  • Maintain W-9s and 1099 records
  • Support or process payroll

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years bookkeeping experience (construction preferred)
  • Strong job costing experience
  • QuickBooks expertise
  • Understanding of percentage-of-completion, WIP schedules, and retainage
  • Experience handling $10M+ revenue volume preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must reside in Tucson, AZ

Compensation:

$48,000 - $60,000, depending on experience
Hybrid flexibility with long-term growth opportunity

We are looking for someone who can independently manage construction books, protect margins, and provide clear financial visibility across multiple active projects.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
