Full Charge Bookkeeper / Controller for a Residential Construction Firm

Epic Construction Inc. is a general contractor specializing in high-end custom homes.

Required Experience

Minimum 10 years of bookkeeping

Minimum 5 years at a general contracting firm (4+ years in construction industry is required)

Key Skills & Knowledge

Extensive QuickBooks, Excel, and Word expertise

Strong accounting principles, financial reporting (balance sheets, income statements)

Payroll processing & tax liabilities (experience with ADP, Paychex, Intuit)

Bank/credit card reconciliations, journal entries, invoicing

Other Requirements

Excellent credit, references, communication (written/verbal)

Independent, organized, detail-oriented, multi-tasker

Thrive in fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, work under pressure

Maintain confidentiality

Analytical/problem-solving skills

Preferred (Plus)

Residential construction estimating

Bilingual Spanish/English

Liability/Workers' Comp audits

T-Sheets or similar time tracking

Basic IT (computers/phones/peripherals)

Full-time, on-site in Torrance, California 90503 (not remote)

At-will employment

This position does not have health benefits

Hourly: $35–$50 (based on experience)
