Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper / Office Manager to lead our financial operations and oversee daily administrative functions. Duties
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly to verify account accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing clear insights into organizational financial health.
- Handle payroll processing using various financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accurate employee payments.
- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions, including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and journal entries.
- Support budgeting activities by analyzing expenses and assisting in financial planning efforts.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements and tax filings as needed.
- Manage office operations by coordinating administrative tasks such as supply ordering, scheduling, and supporting staff needs.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to financial management and office procedures.
- oversee and maintain compliance with state and industry regulations, including Indiana gaming licensing requirements.
Skills
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards for accurate financial reporting and general ledger management.
- Expertise in bank reconciliation, account analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with payroll processing systems and tax experience related to employee compensation.
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and reconcile accounts efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating across teams.
